FAQ

How do I get to Imsouane?
Fly into Agadir (about 1 h 45 by car) or Marrakech (about 3 h 30). From Agadir, the easiest way is a grand taxi or a pre‑booked transfer; we can arrange one for you — just tell us your flight details when you book. From Essaouira it's about 1 h 30 by car. Local buses run to Tamanar, where you can pick up a taxi for the last stretch.
What are check‑in and check‑out times?
Check‑in is from 13:30 (14:00 for the standard double room) and check‑out is by 11:30. Arriving early or leaving late? We store your luggage for free, so you can still get a session in.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast and dinner are available on request and served family‑style on the rooftop. Breakfast is usually egg tagine, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, tea and coffee. Most evenings there's a shared Moroccan dinner — tagine, couscous, grilled fish — and if we're not cooking, we all head into town together.
Can I rent a surfboard and wetsuit?
Yes. We have boards and wetsuits at the hostel and can sort out rentals by the day or for your whole stay. There are also several rental shops in the village if you want a specific board.
Is Imsouane good for beginners?
It's one of the best places in Morocco to learn. The Bay is a long, gentle, sandy‑bottomed wave that's ideal for first waves and for longboarding. Cathedral Point, just north of the village, is faster and better for intermediate and advanced surfers. Our lessons are run by an ISA Level 1 certified instructor.
Is there Wi‑Fi?
Free Wi‑Fi throughout the hostel. The standard double room has a laptop‑friendly workspace if you need to get some work done.
Are there lockers? Is it safe?
Every dorm has lockers for your valuables (bring a padlock or borrow one from us). There is always a staff member at the hostel, day and night.
What's the age policy?
Dorm beds are for guests aged 18 and over. Families with children are welcome in our private rooms — get in touch and we'll help you plan.
How do I book, and what's the cancellation policy?
Book directly through the Book Now button for the best price — direct bookings are always cheaper than booking sites. Cancellation terms are shown at the time of booking and in our terms and conditions.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, you can pay by card or cash (dirhams or euros). There's no ATM in Imsouane, so bring some cash for cafés and board rental in the village.
What's the best time of year to come?
Imsouane works all year. October to April brings the biggest and most consistent swells; May to September is warmer, smaller and perfect for learning. Water temperature ranges from about 16 °C in winter to 22 °C in summer — a wetsuit is worth it most of the year.

Book direct. It's always the best price.
No booking fees, no middlemen — just a bed a few minutes from the wave and a crew that's happy to see you. Questions? We're on WhatsApp.
